The dragons of Azeroth—at times both allies and rivals of the mortal races—call on the heroes of the Alliance and Horde to assist grapple with the looming threats and ancient secrets on the verge of rising as long-dormant forces begin to stir in their sacred homeland.

New location – The Dragon Isles

New location – The Dragon Isles

Explore the primordial wonders and ancient secrets of the Dragon Isles across four new zones: the seething Waking Shores, the enormous Ohn’ahran Plains, the stark Azure Span, and old, beautiful Thaldraszus, to reach the new level cap of 70.

We’ll finally get to see the long-lost Dragon Isles in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. The place has long been hidden from mortal eyes, as seen in the opening cinematic, yet something has reawakened its ancient titanic watchers. The Dragon Isles’ long-hidden characteristics have been summoned back, signifying the advent of a new age, thanks to the relighting of Tyrhold’s beacon.

New Class & Race: Dracthyr Evoker

WoW Race Dracthyr Evoker

Allows you to play as a Dracthyr Evoker, WoW’s first ever race/class combo. You can build both humanoid and draconic forms, choose between the Alliance and Horde, and go on a mission as a healer (Preservation specialization) or a ranged damage-dealer (Devastation specialization) who taps into all of dragonkind’s collective might.

Dracthyr Evokers can freely transform between two customisable forms to confront adversaries and overcome obstacles, choosing between a humanoid countenance and a frightening draconic shape.

Choose Your Allegiance: Dracthyr Evokers want to carve their own path in Azeroth and will fight for either the Horde or the Alliance. This hero class has its own starting zone and starts at level 58. At character creation, players will be able to pick between the Horde and the Alliance, as well as a bevy of additional customization options that allow users to match their dragon form to their humanoid appearance.

Dracthyr Evokers can fight from a distance with claws and flaming breath attacks (Devastation) or summon the life-giving power of renewal to help their comrades (Preservation).
Dracthyr Evokers can use magic to increase the power of their draconic abilities. Charge up your attacks and release them at the correct time to get the most out of them.

New Talents Trees

WoW Dragonflight Reveal: Talent Trees

The Talent system as a whole is being redesigned. Dragonflight is returning WoW back to something more classic, but not quite, by abandoning the existing 3-row trees. There is a main tree for your class and another tree for your specialization in these new talent trees. These trees include some of the same things that we find in today’s talent rows, as well as some smaller advantages.

Every level, players will receive one point to spend, and they will be able to modify their talents like they do today. This update also adds the ability to preserve your Talent trees for later use, allowing you to quickly switch between Raid, Mythic+, and PvP trees. Convoke is shown in the Restoration tree in this illustration, indicating that some covenant powers will be retained.

You won’t be able to get all of the skills in these trees. Max-level builds, like the existing system, will have to make decisions about what to include and exclude.
If you put points into the Restoration Druid tree and then switch to Balance Druid, the Restoration tree’s effects will no longer affect you. In the Balance tree, you’ll have fresh points to spend!

User Interface Improvements

New Interface in World of Warcraft

A new user interface and HUD will be available in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, which players can configure in-game without the use of addons. This new functionality does not completely replace addons; players can still use dedicated addons for unique looks, themes, or to display information in different ways; however, these new features are intended to improve the baseline experience so that players who want to customize their HUD don’t have to rely on addons.

The entire HUD will be overhauled with improved aesthetics and additional functionality, in addition to a customisation feature that allows users to move pieces of the UI across the screen as they see appropriate.

  • Accessibility has been improved and new functionality has been added.
  • A new minimap has been included, as well as larger health bars.
  • With redesigned gryphon and wyvern art bookends, the UI art has been improved, eliminating clutter and boosting visibility while maintaining the beauty and individuality of the original versions.
  • Players can store, edit, copy, and name their UI settings, making it easier to import, export, and switch between them.
  • The settings can also remember the spec you’re in, switching automatically for gamers that like distinct layouts for each spec.

New Profession System in Dragonflight (Patch 10.0)

New Profession System in WoW: Dragonflight

The Crafting Orders system will be included in the World of Warcraft: Dragonflight expansion announcement, which will also increase the ability to obtain Soulbound goods that were previously solely available to crafters. Crafting specialities are returning for players to manufacture higher-quality products, as well as new auto-swapping profession items to boost your skills and yields!

New Profession Interface. A new profession interface will be included in Dragonflight, which will provide hints as to what additional attributes you’ll need to accomplish Profession tasks to the highest standard. Each occupation will have updated statistics. Finishing Reagents will be added as well, which will improve the quality and power of the goods you manufacture.

Crafting System for Soulbound Items. Traditionally, professions have had soulbound objects, which means that you can only receive this item if you know that profession. You can have Soulbound goods created for you in Dragonflight, regardless of whether you know the profession or not!

Crafting Orders. Players will be able to create Crafting Orders to have goods created for them by other players who have that profession ability. Browse through any profession’s recipes, pick what you want crafted, and place a Crafting Order to have it made. You will be able to add some or all of the required reagents as well as a commission. An NPC will operate as a sort of Auction House for Crafting Orders, and you will be able to choose whether this is a public or private order. As a crafter, you can examine what goods gamers are requesting and choose which commissions you want to complete.

Crafting Tables. Crafting Tables will be brought back to Valdrakken, the new main city. This is most likely where you’ll locate the Crafting Orders NPC, who will help you place and fill orders.

Gear to Improve Professions. While things that increase your crafting skill have been available in past expansions, new crafting gear in Dragonflight will include special attributes that will help you craft more effectively. These goods will only auto-swap with existing gear when you are engaged in that vocation (using a crafting table, mining, picking herbs, etc.) and will not take up additional inventory space. Instead, special spaces will be used for these things.

Profession Specializations. You’ll be able to make higher-quality items within specializations with Specializations. Armorsmithing for Blacksmiths was stated especially in the Deep Dive, but there will be many more available. You’ll advance in the specialization by collecting Specialization Points, which you can get in a variety of methods, including finding objects, meeting NPCs, and completing missions.

Crafting Quality. Crafted objects in Dragonflight have a Crafting Quality. A higher-quality crafted piece of armor could have a higher item level or better stats, while a potion could be more powerful or last longer. The quality of reagents and specialities can have an impact on crafting quality.

This and much more awaits us in the new addition of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight (patch 10.0). We look forward to the announcement of the expansion’s release date.
