Ranked games in League of Legends – New season 2015!

We are pleased to announce the imminent launch of the new ranked season in League of Legends. We’ve all been waiting for a long time and not much left – as early as next week, and to be more specific – January 21, 2015 will be the first day of the new, 2015 ranked games season in League of Legends.. We will tell you a little about what you should expect in the new season of ranked games – you’ve got a week to prepare. But remember, if you do not have time to prepare or have difficulties – we will always help you!
 

Determination of your league

Summoner distribution system between leagues in this ranked season has not changed – you will need to play 10 placement games, result of those will be accounted by automatic system that will assign you to the appropriate league and division from which you start your way to the top of League of Legends. But in this season of ranked games rules were changed: before the significance of the ten placement games was higher than the results of your previous season. Thus the factor of “randomness” strongly affected the final result of Ranked games: Major League players could lose 10 games in a row because of the bad team and be in the bronze league and the lower-end players could go up to golden leagues due to experienced players in their teams, while not being able to play at this level. Therefore your league and division will depend not only on the 10 qualifying games, but also from your league in the last season. But if you have not played any ranked games, your rank and division will depend solely on your success in the placement games!

If you are not confident in your abilities and do not want to be at the “bottom” after the qualifying games, you can order 10 Placement games and we guarantee to get at least 8 wins; if we do not get 8 wins out of 10, then we’ll give you one division for free!

Since significant changes were made during preseason, the developers decided to equalize the chances of Summoners and again partially dropped the rating of all players at the beginning of the season – this means that you are likely to find yourself at a lower position than the one on which you have finished the previous season.
 

We would like to remind what will await you in Ranked games of League of Legends’ Season 2015:

• Level 30 Summoners can take part in Ranked matches.
• To start your battles in ranked games you need to play 10 Placement games to determine the league and division.
• Ranked games are available on two maps: Summoner’s Rift (5×5) and Twisted Treeline (3×3).
• You can play Ranked in two modes: solo-duo (you alone or with a partner) and team (5×5 or 3×3 team depending on the map).
• Results of Normal games will not affect your Ranked position.
• To equalize the chance of winning players with a low rating will not be able to fight in ranked games with players who have a high rating.
• For participation in the Ranked games, you get not only the rating, but also in-game currency (IP) for the purchase of champions and runes.

 

Summoner’s Rift Changes

In November 2014, Summoner’s Rift was greatly changed both graphically and functionally. Buffs were changed, new monsters appeared in the woods, and Baron Nashor and Dragon now provide additional bonuses, some items were balanced and new ones were added. It’s too early to speak about rewards for Ranked games in this season – but we can surely say that for Solo-Duo Queue players the reward would be a skin for some champion and for team players there will be a new ward skin.
