The best WoW Forever talent calculators
| Calculator | Data source | What stands out |
|---|---|---|
| Wowhead Forever Talent Calculator | Wowhead's Forever database | The familiar interface; build links work across Wowhead's guides and tooltips |
| wowforevertalents.com | Forever client build 1.60.1.70755, checked November 3 | Trees and spellbooks read from the client, Classic comparison, private builds |
| Mobalytics | Mobalytics database | Verified builds for leveling and PvE next to the calculator |
| wowforevertools.com | Beta build 1.60.1.70450 (October 16); not yet updated for the launch notes | Legacy trees in the same tool, a changes page for every class |
| classicwowforever.com | Client build 1.60.1.70753 (November 3) | Leveling order and short share links |
Others, such as forevertalents.org, wowforevertalents.net and wowforevertalent.com, work the same way and add build comparisons or update histories. In game, the Talents Forever addon shows your talent plan as you level.
We mark Wowhead as the default because its links are the most widely used: most guides, forums and Discord servers will open them without explanation.
How talent points work in Forever
| Points at level 60 | 51 |
| First point | Level 10, then one per level |
| Trees per class | 3 |
| Dual specialization | From level 40: two builds, switch between them |
| Respec | At your class trainer; the cost rises with each reset |
The point budget is the same as in Classic. What changed is inside the trees: new talents, returned talents and different ranks.
How to plan and share a build
- Open a calculator and pick your class.
- Left click a talent to add a point, right click to remove one. On a phone, tap to add and press and hold to remove.
- Watch the row gates: a deeper row opens only after enough points in the tree.
- Use the level setting or leveling order, if the calculator has one, to see which talent to take at each level.
- Press Share or Copy link. The link opens the exact build for anyone; saved builds stay only in your browser.
Pro tip
Keep the link of your build somewhere outside the browser, for example in a Discord message to yourself. Browser saves do not sync between devices and disappear when you clear site data.

What changed in Forever talents
Every class got new or changed talents. A few examples, including Blizzard's launch notes of November 3:
| Class | Changes in the trees |
|---|---|
| Improved | |
| New baseline Shank feeds the trees: Assassination's Venom and | |
| New Trial by Fire; | |
| New Dark Inspiration; Holy Binding replaces | |
| Grim Reach back; Malediction removed | |
| Balance and Restoration trees include Eclipse, Moonkin Form and | |
| New Reckless Swings and Improved Whirlwind; Flurry has 3 ranks; | |
| New Unsealed Wrath (Retribution's 31-point talent), Oath of Light and Shieldsworn |
Calculators that compare with Classic mark every new or changed talent, which is the fastest way to see what your old build is missing. Our class leveling guides link a ready build for each class.
Builds for leveling and for groups
Most players level with one build and switch to a group build later. Dual specialization from level 40 makes that easy: keep a solo leveling build in one slot and a dungeon build, tank or healer for example, in the other.
For which spec levels fastest for each class, see Choosing a Class in
Where players disagree
Some players copy a ready build from a guide. Others say the Forever trees are too new for settled builds and plan their own, then compare them with guides after launch.
Do
- Plan your build before you level: it saves time at every level.
- Use a calculator built on Forever data, not a Classic one.
- Save your build link outside the browser.
- Set up a second build at level 40 with dual specialization.
- Recheck builds saved before November 3: the launch notes changed rogue, warrior and shaman trees.
Skip
- Classic talent builds: Forever trees changed for every class.
- Calculators that do not say which game build they use.
- Respeccing often while leveling: the cost grows each time.
